R.H. Pardy Moving & Storage recently had the pleasure of sponsoring a memorable comedy night hosted by The Dorset Children’s Foundation. The event was a delightful evening combining humour with a worthy local cause, uniting the community for an incredibly important cause.
There was a wonderful atmosphere throughout the whole evening with each of the comedians bringing their own style of comedy to the stage at the Bournemouth Collegiate School in Southbourne.
The night kicked off with the amazing host, Adrienne Coles whose quick wit immediately had the audience in stitches. Her audience interaction and playful banter set the tone for an unforgettable evening of laughter!
Next to take the stage was the eccentric Joey Page. His unique storytelling and imaginative humour transported everyone into his wonderful world. Joey’s quirky observations were a refreshing escape, with plenty of hearty laughter and applause coming from all corners of the room.
Following Joey was the lovable Welshman, David Arnold. David’s relatable anecdotes and hilarious props really landed with the audience although some of us did think he was a lost Deliveroo driver when he first came on stage! His natural charm and perfect comedic timing kept everyone in the crowd engaged, turning everyday situations into hilarious stories that we could all relate to.
The incredible Paul Tonkinson was the headliner and capped off the evening with a performance that left everyone wanting more. Known for his energetic delivery and hilarious impressions, his infectious energy had the crowd in stitches of laughter, proving why he’s regarded as one of the UK’s finest stand-up comics.
Throughout the night guests were able to enjoy refreshments from the bar, allowing everyone to mingle and share their favourite moments and there was even the opportunity to enter into the raffle draw. The camaraderie throughout the whole night was evident and really contributed to the overall success of the event.
By the end of the evening, over £600 had been raised in support of The Dorset Children’s Foundation’s new premises, The Windmill Wellness Hub. This achievement is a testament to the generosity of everyone involved and the power of the local community coming together for a worthy cause!
We extend our heartfelt thanks to The Dorset Children’s Foundation for their incredible work and for organising such a wonderful event. A special shout-out to all of the performers and the wonderful volunteers from the charity for their amazing efforts in making sure everyone had a drink in hand and a smile on their face, you all helped to make the night a truly special occasion.
